Golden Valley Equestrian Centre

In-hand Schedule

START TIME:    9AM – INDOOR ARENA

Class 14) Youngstock – Open to any height & any type. Foals, Yearlings, two year-olds or three year-olds.

Class 15) Young Handler – No colts or stallions. Handlers not to have attained their 16th  birthday before 1st January in the current year.

Class 16) In Hand Novice – Any height, any type, any age. Horses / ponies must be in their first season of inhand showing.

Class 17) In Hand Hunter (incl. Irish Draft) – Any age. Part & pure-bred ID welcome. Must be plaited.

Class 18) In Hand Plaited (incl. ROR) – Open to plaited horses and ponies of any age and height. RoR eligible horses welcome.

Class 19) In Hand Cob – Any age. Traditional, hogged or native.

Class 20) In Hand Open Horse or Pony – Open to any age, height and type.

Class 21) In Hand Coloured – Any age, any height. Alternative coloureds welcome.

Class 22) In Hand Mountain and Moorland – Open to all pure-bred registered mountain and moorlands. Any age, any height. Must be shown in their natural state in accordance with respective society rules. Will be judged separately (Small & Large breeds) if sufficient entries.

Class 23) In Hand Veteran – Horse or pony 15 years old and over. Any height, any type.

Class 24) In Hand Part-bred – Open to any part-bred horses or ponies.

Class 25) In Hand Foreign Breeds – Open to any foreign breeds of horse or pony to be shown in accordance with respective society rules. Welcome to enter but not limited to, Fjord, Quarter Horse, Icelandic, PRE, Haflinger, Arabian, Friesian

Class 26) In Hand Miniature Horses and Ponies – Open to all miniature horse or pony breeds. Must be shown in accordance with respective society rules. Welcome to enter but not limited to, American Miniature Horse, Falabella, Shetland.

 

Ridden Schedule

NOT BEFORE:   12.30PM – INDOOR ARENA

 

Class 1) Ridden Hunter (inc Irish Draft) – Any age. Part & pure-bred ID welcome. Must be plaited.

Class 2) Ridden Plaited (incl. RoR) – Open to plaited horses and ponies of any age and height. RoR eligible horses welcome.

Class 3) Ridden Cob – Any age. Traditional, hogged or native.

Class 4) Ridden Open Horse or Pony – Open to any age, height and type.

Class 5) Ridden Coloured – Any age, any height. Alternative coloureds welcome.

Class 6) Ridden Mountain and Moorland – Open to all pure-bred registered mountain and moorlands. Any age, any height. Must be shown in their natural state in accordance with respective society rules. Will be judged separately (Small & Large breeds) if sufficient entries.

Class 9) Lead Rein – Mares or geldings, 4 years old or over, not exceeding 122cms. Riders not to have attained their 9th birthday before 1st January in the current year.

Class 10) First Ridden – Mares or geldings, 4 years old or over, not exceeding 128cms. Riders not to have attained their 12th birthday before 1st January in the current year. Snaffle bridles only.

Class 11) Ridden Novice – Open to any horse or pony 4 years old and over. Snaffle bridles only. Walk & trot on go-round only. Canter in show optional.

Class 12) Ridden 4, 5, 6-Year-Old – Open to any horse or pony aged 4, 5 or 6 years old. Walk, trot and canter go-round. Canter in show.

Class 13) Ridden Foreign Breeds – Open to any foreign breeds of horse or pony to be shown in accordance with respective society rules. Welcome to enter but not limited to, Fjord, Quarter Horse, Icelandic, PRE, Haflinger, Arabian, Friesian.
